Our new tradition is hitting a new winery on our way back home through North Carolina. We were a little indecisive on the interstate but the moment exit 73B came up we took it and went to visit
RaffaldiniThis vineyard is part of the Swan Creek group, the other two being Buck Shoals and Laurel Grey. The sommeliers at Raffaldini are some of the friendliest we have met. They have a new facility for tasting and events perched atop the Vineyard's hill. The view was remarkable, the wine, splendid. Don't let the winding route and distance discourage you from visiting this Vineyard. It is less than ten minutes from the interstate. Sally's favorite: Winemaker's Blend Curtis's favorite:Sangiovese Riserva.
